Character Name: Princess N'Yami Ororo T'Challa
Character Journal: [personal profile] tornadoprincess
Physical Description: 5'10, 125 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, white when using her powers.
Age: 18
DOB: March 2nd, 1993
PB: Gabrielle Union
Character Location/Home: Wakanda, soon to be Xavier Institute.
Alignment: X-Men
Relatives: T'Challa (father, living), Ororo Munroe (mother, living), Shuri (aunt, living), Ramonda (grandmother), possible younger siblings.
Abilities:
Aerokinesis: N'Yami possesses the power of wind manipulation. She is able to mentally summon cyclones and whirlwinds, project powerful bursts of air, and glide through the air on wind currents.

* Flight: She can either glide on wind currents or create a direct cyclonic wind beneath her to guide her flight.
* Air Blasts: She can force wind outwards in an air blast cone, direct blows and in larger areas around herself.
* Cyclone Creation: She can create massive tornadoes, huge cyclones that react to the environment by themselves or bend to her will. Likewise she can create smaller twisters to blow down doors or small enough to gently blow loose clothing and hair.
* Deflection: Also is able to deflect approaching objects with ease.

N'Yami is also resistant to extreme atmospheric conditions and pressure changes. While certainly not an expert, she has trained with the warriors of Wakanda, and is adept at using a sword, a spear, and is a decent shot with a bow and gun, as well as being a decent hand-to-hand fight. She has the strength level of a normal woman who participates in everyday intensive regular exercise.

Through her mother's side, N'Yami has an amount of magical potential, but she has not shown any signs of tapping into it or being able to harness it.

N'Yami is a Wakandan Princess with diplomatic immunity.
Weaknesses and Flaws: N'Yami is by no means invulnerable, as the normal weaknesses of any human woman. N'Yami has also been known to be a very prideful person on occasion, not wanting to ask for help when she needs it.
Personality: A princess of Wakanda, N'Yami was raised to be regal and refined. Her mother also taught her to be polite, and she's a kind-hearted person at heart, and cares deeply about her friends and family. She's been known to be an occasionally prideful person, and sometimes won't ask for help when she needs it.
Backstory:
The oldest child born to King T'Challa and his queen, Ororo Munroe, N'Yami was raised mostly in Wakanda, but would often accompany her parents on trips to the United States, and visited the Xavier Institute and Avengers Mansion with her parents on more than one occasion. Though she was raised as a Princess and never wanted for anything, her mother made sure that her daughter was not overly spoiled, and would often have her work to earn certain privileges.

When N'Yami was thirteen, her powers manifested when she sneezed...and made a huge mess of the throne room (Father was not pleased). Ororo began to train her daughter how to use abilities, and N'Yami was also tested to see if she had developed any other of her mother's weather controlling abilities (she had not).

Upon turning eighteen, N'Yami asked both of her parents' permission to travel to the United States to join the X-Men. After some debate (mostly on T'Challa's side), her parents agreed, on the condition that she would check in with the Wakandan embassy on occasion, so her parents knew that she was alright.

Sample Post:
N'Yami was packing. Or rather, the palace staff was doing most of the packing for her, and she was telling them what to pack. While N'Yami wouldn't have objected to packing herself, the head of staff insisted to make the process run a little bit smoother.

"Yes, you can pack that. And those shoes as well. And a coat, as it will be getting colder in that area of the country soon, and I suppose I will need it. And yes, I will need a decent amount of formal wear for when I attend events for the embassy." N'Yami sighed. The palace staff was very helpful, but things would go much quicker if she got them done herself.

"Will that be all, Your Highness?" The maid in charge of helping N'Yami pack asked.

N'Yami nodded. "Yes, thank you Zuri. That will be all." Talla bowed, leaving the room. N'Yami looked at her suitcases. There were a couple of things she still wanted to pack, but she could do that herself later. Right now, she needed a break from packing.

N'Yami walked over to the large windows that also served as doors, and opened them, stepping onto the balcony. The breeze hit her face, and she closed her eye, basking in its warmth. N'Yami concentrated, using her powers to float gently on the breeze, slowly lifting off the ground and into the air. N'Yami opened her eyes, which had from their usual brown to white, as they often did when used her powers. N'Yami drifted through the air, flying gently on the breeze.

There were things she had to do before she left for the United States tomorrow, but it could wait. Now was the time to relax.
